Effects of Tirzepatide:
-GIP + GLP-1 increase synergistically
-Reduced hunger → slight calorie deficit
-Stable satiety, improved metabolic control
-High fat loss with relatively low muscle loss
-Improved body parameters: Lower blood pressure, better lipids, reduced waist circumference
Dosage and Mixing Ratio:
-One 10 mg dry substance vial contains a total of 1 mL after reconstitution (e.g., with solvent).
-The concentration is therefore 10 mg/mL.
-For a 10 mg dose, you need 1 mL of drawn-up solution.
Dosage & Titration (injection under the skin):
-Tirzepatide is usually injected subcutaneously once weekly.
The standard titration (for weight loss or diabetes) is as follows:
-Starting dose of 2.5 mg/week for 4 weeks (entry dose)
-Increase to 5 mg/week after at least 4 weeks
-Further increases in 2.5 mg increments (e.g., to 7.5 mg, 10 mg) – each at intervals of at least 4 weeks
-Maintenance doses are often 5 mg, 10 mg, or 15 mg per week – maximum 15 mg/week
Injection recommendation
-Subcutaneous (under the skin), e.g., in the thigh, abdominal skin, or upper arm
-Change injection sites every week to prevent skin irritation
-The injection can be given with or without food – the time of day is flexible, but at least 72 hours apart from the prescribed dose
